A taste of France was served up by members of the Halifax and Huddersfield Inter Varsity Club at their annual dinner at the Tower House Hotel, Halifax.

In anticipation of the Tour de France, diners were asked to identify the names of Paris landmarks, given the appropriate letters of the alphabet.

Members are also planning a programme of French themed events during July, to mark Le Grand Depart.

Around 20 members attended the dinner, held at the Pye Nest venue. Although inspired by the nearby Wainhouse Tower, the quiz did not include the Eifel Tower!

The Inter-Varsity Club is one of over 40 groups nationally which offer a varied programme of leisure activities organised by members.
