Fright night in Halifax...

IT wasn’t brains these zombies were after when they invaded Halifax town centre.

Scores of the “undead” were at the Piece Hall for a zombie festival organised by store Collect@.

Fake blood and plenty of eye make-up were donned for a best-dressed zombie contest.

And sci-fi and horror writer Mark Morris was there to talk to fans and sign copy of his latest work, Dead Island.

Andy Street, from Collect@, said they were pleased by the number of people who had dressed up and the efforts they had gone to.

“I think there were between 30 and 40 people here,” he said. “Mark said he would love to come back again.”
