A FUN-FILLED fund-raising day netted bags of cash for charity.
Ben Hardaker, 22, and Kirstie Pollard, 20, organised the bash at The Windmill Inn in Shelf, which is expected to have raised about £700 for Marie Curie Cancer Care and Royal National Institute for Blind People.
About 100 people attended and enjoyed entertainment by TV star Tom Milner, local band Not Yet Known as well as gladiator jousting, bouncy castle, stalls and seven brave men – including Ben – having their legs waxed.
Ben said: “It was quite painful. We’re very pleased with how much we’ve raised. It was well-attended and a good day all round.” The couple chose the charities as they have helped relatives.
