Fun in the sun as hundreds watch Le Tour at Todmorden hub

Several hundred people took the chance to relax, picnic and view the Tour De France on the big screen at the Todmorden hub in Bramsche Square.

The screen laid on by Tour De Tod, was next to Todmorden Market where traders were providing food, drink and other provisions for picnicers.

The crowd swelled in the hour up to the race coming through Calderdale, and for youngsters there was some entertainment laid on at nearby Todmorden Town Hall.

Later this afternoon, from around 5pm, they will be treated to a screening of the Disney family film Frozen on the big screen.

Special guest, actor Dominic Brunt, is also set to arrive later in the afternoon to drae the Todmorden Market Association grand raffle, which is benefitting the epilepsy charity Seize The Day.

Cythia Murray of Tour De Tod said the weather in the afternoon had been great to wrap up a perfect weekend of Tour events.
