PEOPLE of all ages are gearing up for a beartastic Friday to support Pudsey and Children in Need.
The annual fund-raising day raises millions for charity.
Action For Pellon Community Group are holding a cake sale and tombola on Saturday at 10am.
Classes at Babyballet will take place in their pyjamas with children making a £1 donation.
Sowerby Bridge J&C Joel raised £1,800 last year and hoping to improve on that total this year with staff wearing fancy dress.
RSA at Dean Clough are opening a beauty salon with The Nail Lounge and Simply Beautiful for the day so employees can be pampered and preened.
Bosses have already signed up for treatments including leg waxing and lip wraps and 25 per cent of proceeds going to the charity.
Pye Nest Day Nursery are holding a week of activities to conincide with their 15th anniversary.
There will be 15 different fun-themed things to do for the children including raffle, completing a sponsbored trek of the nearby car park - 15 times and a danceathon.
You can donate at the Halifax branch of Leeds Building Society. Staff will be taking part in a non-uniform day and encourage their customers to dig deep.
Staff at Trinity Academy are having things thrown at them to raise money and Pudsey Bear will call into Children’s Place Day Nursery on Free School Lane.
Haley Pickersgill, Halifax Branch Manager said, “Children in Need day is always one of the highlights of the year for both our staff and customers. I’d encourage people to visit us on Friday to get involved and make a donation to the Children in Need Appeal.”
Since 1980 the appeal has raised more than £50million.
The BBC-backed campaign has already got celebrities cycling, auctions, a charity single a style challenge as well as merchandise on sale at Asda, Greggs, B&Q and Lakeland all to add to the total.
