Shibden Hall is getting in the Christmas spirit early by opening its doors and inviting visitors to the Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November.

There will be a variety of stalls over the weekend, offering a wide range of products from delicious homemade cakes, chutneys and jams to beautiful selections of jewellery, hand crafted leather goods and candles.

Even if you’re not shopping for presents, you’ll find a tempting variety of festive fayre on offer, which will be sure to get you in the seasonal spirit.

Plus, most of the produce on sale has been made locally, supporting local businesses, growers and producers.

And while there might not be sleigh rides on offer, Shibden Estate’s land train will be in full operation throughout the weekend to transport visitors around the park and to the Hall.

Calderdale Council’s cabinet member for communities, Coun Steve Sweeney, said: “The Shibden Christmas Craft Fair is the perfect start to the festive season and a great way to get into the Christmas spirit.

“Not only will you be able to look around the magnificent 15th Century Hall, but you’ll also get a head start on your Christmas shopping, picking up some great locally produced gifts at stalls throughout the Hall and grounds.”

The event is running all weekend from 10am until 4pm with the reduced admission price of £2.50 for adults and £2 for concessions (Shibden annual pass holders go free).
