Girls tripped boy and took his mobile

DETECTIVES are appealing for help finding three teenage girls who stole a boy’s mobile phone.

The 11-year-old boy was in Halifax town centre at the junction of Gaol Lane and Winding Road between 3pm and 3.10pm on Wednesday when the girls tripped him up.

As he fell, his phone fell out of his pocket and the girls took it and ran off.

When they were confronted by a witness, they threw the phone back at the boy and ran off. The girls were all white and aged 15 or 16.

One was 5ft 8ins tall, with black shoulder-length hair, slim and wearing a white long-sleeve jumper and dark chinos. Anyone who can help call 101.
