Calderdale Council has repaired 17 stretches of road damaged during last year’s freezing weather, using a £683,000 grant from the Department for Transport.
Each was carefully assessed and measured before being patched, given a surface dressing or fully resurfaced.
Economy and environment spokesman Barry Collins said a lot of effort had been put into treating the eight miles road, which was in addition to the normal repairs.
