Halifax Agricultural Soceity in need of new blood

Halifax Agricultural Society are in need of new members.

They say this year’s show was a success, thanks to hard-working committee members and section secretaries, but they are in need of new blood.

They have vacant positions for general secretary, DEFRA representative and membership secretary.

Anyone interested in joining the team can go to the AGM on Tueday, October 30 at 7.30pm at the Royal Hotel, Washer Lane, Pye Nest.

Malcolm Green, chairman, said: “The general secretary is a pivotal role within the Society. There are also other roles within the Society which need to be filled. Anyone who has any interest in being a member, taking on a role or just being a volunteer at show time – will be most welcome.”
