Stodd Fold Brewing Company celebrated the Tour’s arrival in Yorkshire by breaking the world record for the largest glass of beeer.
The company at Ogden, Halifax, will now enter the Guinness Book of Records after filling the glass with 3,664 pints of Stod Fold’s Gold Ale- one pint for every kilometer of the world-famous race.
The record was broken at The Fleece Countryside Inn in Ripponden yesterday.
The previous world record for the largest glass of beer stood at 2,638 pints, achieved in California by Eric Johnson in 2009.
Johnny Naylor, the London partner of the brewery, said: “We’ve been working through the night to get it sorted.
“We wanted to do something different and it’s a fantastic feeling.”
