Halifax Cine and Video Club has a new home at St Jude’s Church, Free School Lane, where it will hold its first open meeting on Monday, September 3.
The club met for the first time in 1939 at the Old Cock Hotel and during the war on Sunday afternoons in Central Street because of the black-out.
Tip-up seats were bought from the Electric Cinema.
After several moves, the club went to Spring Hall Mansion where at one stage it had more than 80 members and more recently to Oddfellows Hall.
