Halifax head teacher to referee FA Cup final

Halifax head teacher Jon Moss will swap the playground for the pitch when he referees this season’s FA cup final.

The 44-year-old, who works one day a week as executive head at Beech Hill School, has been a professional referee since 2011.

The match between Arsenal and Aston Villa takes place on Saturday, May 30, and Jon described the opportunity as “the realisation of a dream.”

He visited Beech Hill pupils today (Tuesday) with the FA Cup trophy - watch the video to see his talk to pupils.
