Thousands are expected to line the streets of Halifax town centre for the 3rd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment (Duke of Wellington’s) homecoming parade.
Hundreds of soldiers recently returned from a gruelling tour of Afghanistan will march proudly through town.
The parade starts at the Shay Stadium at 11.40 am tomorrow (Tues Dec 4) and will take the following route: Union Street South, Union Street, Market Street, Crossley Street, Princess Street, Southgate Precinct, Wards End, Horton Street.
It will arrive in the Piece Hall by 12 noon for speeches.
The parade will then march down Horton Street, Square Road, Alfred Street East and Church Street to Halifax Minster, where there will be a homecoming service starting at 1.30pm.
Following the service, the parade will march along South Parade and Hunger Hill to the Shay Stadium.
