A PUB in Halifax that has been open less than a year is already notching up national awards.

Dirty Dick’s on Clare Road in Halifax town centre has won two Pub of the Season titles.

CAMRA - the Campaign for Real Ale - and Craft Brewers have both praised the pub.

Landlord and chef Dean Majors said: “We’ve only been open eight months. We’re really pleased.

“The CAMRA award usually only goes to pubs that have been established for a few years.

“It’s brilliant.”

The pub always has eight real ales on and since it has been open has served 300 different beers.

“Our motto is that we have the right people behind the bar, we’ll get the right people on the other side,” said Mr Majors.
