Halifax restaurant gutted by fire in early hours of today

FIREFIGHTERS say a Halifax restaurant was gutted by a blaze in the early hours of today.

They were called to Parmar indian restaurant on Fern Street, off Boothtown Road in Boothtown, Halifax, at 4am.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but it is understood to have ravaged the kitchen, restaurant and conservatory areas.

There was smoke damage reported two floors above.
