Three Halifax Rugby League players are supporting the new charity of club director Tony Abbott called Heartbeat of Sport.

Scott Murrell, Adam Robinson and Tony Tonks (pictured) are cycling from Wakefield to Bridlington and back again to raise funds and awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) in sport. Heartbeat of Sport raises awareness of the condition, and helps provide the right training and equipment for sports clubs to tackle the condition which kills 250 people daily in the UK. The 144-mile cycling challenge takes place on January 9/10 and the players’ hope to raise £2,000. You can sponsor them at www.heartbeatofsport.org
