The Northern Broadsides theatre company, based at Dean Clough, Halifax, has been nominated for an award from The Theatrical Management Association.

It is for their touring production of the Bronte tale, “We Are Three Sisters,” which is directed by Barrie Rutter and has visited more than 45 towns and cities.

The work faces competition from four other productions including “The King and I” and “Swallows and Amazons”, which was staged in association with the National Theatre.

Theatre Awards UK is the only nationwide awards scheme to honour creative excellence and the outstanding achievement seen on and off stage throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

This year the Awards include their first public vote for UK audiences.
