Halifax RUFC demise affects Tigers
HALIFAX RUFC's decision to pull out of the National League will not have a knock-on effect for other local clubs in the set-up.
Although it will mean some re-structuring in an already complicated system, it is Sheffield Tigers and Darlington Mowden Park who will be affected in the north.
The picture is made more complicated by the prospect of Cornwall-based Mounts Bay folding. They have until Monday to decide.
If Mounts Bay decide to carry on then Sheffield Tigers will take up the place vacated by Halifax in National Three North.
However, if Bay decided to call it a day then Darlington Mowden Park will escape relegation.
Sheffield have already endured one move during the close season with the RFU having shunted them from North One to National Three Midlands to even up the numbers.
Should Sheffield be moved again then Luton will be re-instated into the Midlands set-up.
Old Crossleyans lost a promotion play-off game in North Two last season and will still not be going up.
