Parlympic gold medallist Hannah Cockroft is helping the charity that gave her her first sports wheelchair.

Whizz-Kidz helped Hannah, from Mount Tabor in Halifax, back in 2007.

Now she is fronting the charity’s latest campaign, highlighting what the right wheelchair at the right time can do for a young person’s independence and ambition.

She is appearing on posters around the UK asking for a £5 text donation to help Whizz-Kidz support more disabled children in 2013.

Next month, Whizz-Kidz publishes the findings of its ‘Generation Inspired?’ report – giving voice to young disabled people’s hopes for a legacy following last summer’s Paralympics.
