Double world and paralympic champion Hannah Cockroft will be among the celebrity and business guests at the Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards 2013.

The Halifax track star will be among one of the 700 guests at the New Dock Hall at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on October 4.

The third annual awards dinner will be hosted by teenage comedian star Jack Carroll from Hipperhome who came runner up the TV show Britain’s Got Talent.

Organised by St. James’s Place in Yorkshire, all funds raised are matched pound for pound by the company. St. James’s Place Foundation has been funding charities since 1992 and has raised and distributed more than £30m to good causes over the last 20 years

Ten awards will be presented to inspirational young people from Yorkshire who have demonstrated outstanding heroism, endured pain, suffering and disability, devoted their young lives to caring, or attained outstanding sporting achievements.
