The gritty BBC police drama, both set and filmed in Calderdale and penned by multi-award winning writer and director Sally Wainwright, has been nominated in the Best Drama Series or Serial category.

It will go up against the reboot of Cold Feet (ITV), The Durrells (ITV), Line of Duty (BBC), The Secret (ITV) and This is England ‘90 (Channel 4).

The winner will be revealed at an awards ceremony next February.

Sally Wainwright revealed earlier in the year that the smash series, which stars Sarah Lancashire as police sergeant Catherine Cawood, WOULD return for a third series.

And if you’re a fan of Sally Wainwright’s work, there’s plenty to look forward to including Bronte drama To Walk Invisible and a Last Tango in HalifaxChristmas special.
