Health chiefs across Calderdale have launched a review into services to make sure they are fit for the future.
The Calderdale and Huddersfield Health and Social Care Strategic Review involves seven organisations all aiming to improve care in the future.
Challenges under the microscope include the demands on health and social care due to people living longer and with more complex long-term conditions; the current financial climate and the need for increased efficiency and making sure the same quality of services are delivered whatever time of day or day of the week.
Dr Alan Brook, chairman of the Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group said: ““Health and social care services face real challenges over the next five years - people’s needs are changing, our population is growing and the demand for services and support continues to increase.
“We need to make sure people get the best possible care.”
Discussions will take place between doctors, nurses, clinical staff as well as service users and people.
