A new social media campaign has been launched in Calderdale to raise awareness about the major changes in the NHS.
Calderdale Clinical Commissioning Group - which takes over the running of the NHS from next year - has urged people to follow @calderdaleccg on Twitter.
Tweets with up-to-date information on the changing picture of health will have the hashtag #changinghealth. Dr Alan Brook, chairman of the commissioning group, said: “Social media is now accepted as a relatively new method of quick communication to large audiences. We will be using it to let people know about changes and post short messages and questions about the implications of changing health. “We hope that local people will tell us how the treatment and care they receive now compares with ten or twenty years ago. Or even longer.”
