Parents who have conceived through Calderdale Royal’s assisted conception unit came together for the annual hospital celebration.
The 16th party was enjoyed by hundreds of children and their parents in the hospital’s restaurant.
Guests enjoyed a banquet of food and children were entertained by a balloon maker, Easter eggs and a bouncy castle.
Head of unit, consultant Martin DeBono, said: “Infertility brings a lot of sadness but when you can deliver, through success, it brings a lot of joy.
“This day is always a pleasure for me and the team.”
This year, has been the busiest for the unit with 737 new couples at the Halifax hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary wards.
Sister Helen Marvell, said: “We are nurse-led and very proud of our teamwork and our close bonds with our families. For us, every couple is special and we deliver the treatment which is unique to them. It’s lovely for us to see our mums and dads and their children from years gone by and also to welcome some of our newest babies back for a party.”
