A kind-hearted mum-of-four has trimmed her tresses for a children’s wig charity.

Charlotte Williams, 37, of Forest Hill, Sowood, decided to chop her locks in aid of the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs and hair pieces for children who have lost hair due to cancer treatment. Mrs Williams, who made the decision with the help of her hairdresser and friend Jodie Squire, of Bilouair hair salon in West Vale, said: “I wanted to raise awareness that rather than throwing hair away, you can send it for free and put it to good use. It’s nice to think something I didn’t want can make someone’s treatment a little bit less ‘everyone knowing about the illness’.”
