An enterprising teen organised a ladies’ night in aid of Overgate Hospice.
Olivia Laycock, 17, raised more than £500 for the charity with a ladies’ evening held at her home at Norton Tower, Halifax.
She said: “I had the Body Shop and Ann Summers and other people who brought things.
“I thought it was something really nice to do. It’s an amazing cause. They’re just so lovely at Overgate and of course I have known people who’ve gone there.”
Olivia, who studies photography, ICT and maths at Calder High School’s sixth form, also sold some of her photographs at the evening.
She said she was over the moon to raise the amount. “I was very happy. I was in tears!”
