Calderdale Royal Medical Assessment Unit received emergency toiletry packs from Mothers’ Union (MU) members Jean Thurman, Christine Russell and Sarah Killingback.

Over the last year, MU, an international Christian charity, has donated over 1,200 packs, each containing a flannel, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb and soap.

Staff nurse of MAU unit Belinda Russell said: “The packs allow our patients to have their own toiletries and this goes a long way in maintaining dignity.”

Vice-president of MU Jean Thurman said: “Our objective is to help people whose family life has met with adversity.”
