He may only be eight years old, but Jack Fitt from Rastrick is already a charity hero.

The schoolboy, who has already cycled all the way from Todmorden to Brighouse, is taking on another fund raising challenge.

On Thursday he will set off from Leeds United’s training ground at Elland Road and walk his way to Huddersfield Town’s ground - the John Smith’s Stadium.

He hopes to collect £500 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance - the charity supported by Huddersfield Town’s Keep it Up campaign.

If he meets his fund raising target, Jack will become a Knight of Huddersfield Town for the second time.

He first won the title after his sponsored cycle last year.

Jack’s dad Jimmy said: “Jack is a massive Huddersfield Town Fan and has been a season ticket holder since the age of two.

“He was immensely proud to become a Knight last year and hopes he can meet his target this time.”
