NEW research has revealed more than half of employees in Yorkshire and the Humber are more stressed than a year ago.
The survey, conducted by health care cash plan providers Sovereign Health Care, found 53 per cent were more stressed now then this time last year.
It also found 58 per cent belive their employer is providing the minimum, or less, of support in the worksplace.
Almost half said their managers only care about their wellbing if they have to take sick leave.
Chief executive Russ Piper said: “In many companies across the region, it apepars while pay has remained frozen, employees workloads have increase.
“This unrewarded extra work can lead to low morale and employee discontent.
“It would be prudent of businesses to recognise this.”
