CHARITY chiefs at The Salvation Army in Halifax are urging people to donate to their annual appeal.
Money raised will boost the charity’s programme of life-changing social and community work.
Local Salvation Army members will be out collecting over in the local community.
Major Paul McNally, of Halifax Salvation Army, said: “This has been a particularly hard year for many people.
“We have supported those who have lost their job and don’t know where to turn to next, those who have lost their home and end up on the street, those who are older and desperately lonely, and those fragile families and individuals who are struggling to get by in real poverty and can’t afford the basics like food for the table.” He added: “With cuts to the public funding we receive, your donation to our annual appeal is vital to ensure we can continue our work in mending broken lives.”
