A woodland management programe is underway at the National Trust’s Hardcastle Crags and Gibson Mill estate, Hebden Bridge.

It involves selective felling of non-native trees and thinning of larch and pine plantations which will help species such as ants, bats and woodland birds. Trained horse logger Peter Coates with his Clydesdale horse Nathan will be helping out.
