THEY need more than £5,000 a day to keep their doors open – but support just keeps growing for Overgate Hospice, thanks in part to corporate sponsors.
Bob Wild Grass Machinery, based in Mytholmroyd, signed up just in time to become the hospice’s 200th corporate sponsor.
Ian Firth, from the Elland hospice, handed owners Bob and Julie Wild a certificate marking their sign-up.
Julie said: “We’re proud to be able to support Overgate in their 30th year of existance and to have made it as the 200th corporate member.
“We all know someone who has benefited from Overgate’s excellent palliative care and in the times we live and current economic climate everything has a price.
“If we at Bob Wild Grass Machinery can help to contribute on a monthly basis it is the least we can do and hopefully see that Overgate is here for the next 30 years and more.” The hospice has already been helping the sick for 30 years.
Bob Wild Grass Machinery joins a long list of sponsors from estate agents to florists from across Calderdale who have pledged their support since 2007. Corporate fund-raiser Kathy Rogan said: “We’re delighted we have reached our 200th corporate member and that Bob Wild Grass Machinery have chosen to support their local hospice. I continue to be overwhelmed and amazed by support from Calderdale businesses.”
She added if any other businesses or organisations would like to become a corporate member, contact the hospice on 01422 387121.
