Hospital radio DJ Rachel Fisher-Ives has become the chairperson of Radio Calderdale after being elected for the 7th year running.
Rachel, 43, of Halifax, joined the hospital radio back in 1985 to pursue her passion for music and radio.
She said, “It’s absolutely fantastic to be elected once again.
“As a charity and team we are committed to being the patient’s friend by their bedside.
“It is always awful when someone is admitted into hospital, but hopefully hearing a friendly, familiar voice at the end of a pair of headphones makes it more comforting.”
The station is seeking new volunteers to help with roles from fundraising to presenting their own shows.
