DOZENS of vacancies have been filled at the fast-growing Reactiv Group and hundreds more jobs are up for grabs through 2012.
Managing director Tony Abbott said plans for 1,200 new staff by 2013 were well on target.
Last month the first recruitment day was held at the Shay Stadium.
“It was a huge success and we learned a great deal on how to improve things for future recruitment drives,” he said.
“Over 150 people came and we ended up hiring around 40 people from that day alone.”
That recruitment day focussed largely on the call centre, but other parts of the group have been hiring in recent weeks too.
The Reactiv Media sales team have taken on staff, as have the Reactiv Apps sales team.
With Reactiv Apps officially launching on January 1, several customer service staff and app developers will be joining in the next few weeks.
Late last year the Courier reported direct marketing company Reactiv Media was being relaunched as the Reactiv Group with nine new brands and expected to create 600 jobs in Elland this year and hundreds more across the UK.
Mr Abbott is keen to keep the hub of the business in Elland and is seeking more office space in the town, in addition to the premises at Gas Works Lane and has reshuffled the hierarchy to manage the growth. The new brands consist of Reactiv Digital, Reactiv Apps, Reactiv Mobile, Reactiv Solar, Want A Pay Day Loan, Oakwell Finance, Need A Loan Now and the recently acquired Fat Cat (print and promotional design) and Millie Bee (skin care and fragrance) which is currently seeking gift consultants to sell products at parties.
Work is ongoing with employment agencies, Calderdale College and the University of Huddersfield to help find suitable staff across the businesses.
The next recruitment day is in February and details will be advertised in the Courier and at www.ReactivGroup.co.uk or contact HR@reactivgroup.co.uk
