Huge turnout for sponsored walk

Around 70 people - including children aged from four upwards - completed a six mile sponsored walk from Gibbet Street, Halifax, to Hebden Bridge, for Lightcliffe woman Faye Chapman who is battling cancer and she was thee to greet the walkers at the finish.

Organiser Rebecca Culpan said: “Faye was overwhelmed with the support. It was amazing to see young children walk the whole way.” She also thanked the Hare and Hounds Pub, Old Town, which opened specially for the walkers who wore teal which is the colour of the cervical cancer awareness campaign.
