James Bond fans will be in double-O-heaven this week with an all night film fest to celebrate the release of Spectre.

Vue cinema at Broad Street Plaza will be open for 24 hours with screenings starting at 8pm on Monday October 26 and continuing throughout the night.

The release of Spectre marks the 24th film in the James Bond franchise, which started with Dr No in 1962.

Paul Denbrow, general manager for Vue Halifax, said: “We are delighted to be able to open the cinema for 24hrs to celebrate the 24th Bond film Spectre for its opening night.

“Our customers can enjoy the big screen experience whenever they want and even watch it multiple times with greater flexibility than ever before.”

The Vue cinema in Halifax is one of only 34 Vue cinemas across the UK taking part in the event.

Meanwhile Hebden Bridge Picture House will hold a James Bond gala night on Friday November 20 with a fancy dress competition and cocktails.

The independent cinema will open its doors at 7:15pm and the showing will start at 8:15pm.
