A CARER has said goodbye to his hair to raise money for Cancer Research.

Senior care member Keith Chippendale had a full head shave and body wax, watched by residents, staff, family and friends from Sandholme Fold Residential Home, Hipperholme. They have clubbed together to make the fundraising day one to remember.

Resident Jean Hobday who has lived at the home for two years has helped make biscuits for the event.

She said: “I like getting involved in the activities like craft making and cooking and liked the fact that we were raising money for such a worthwhile charity.”

Business manager Rachel Ridings said: “We wanted to raise money for Cancer Research as they help so many people.

“It is important to organise meaningful activities for the residents as this boosts their mental and physical well-being – and of course it’s fun.”
