A kind-hearted girl raised more than £700 for a children’s cancer charity. Little Ella-mae Lawton, six, had her long locks chopped at Fuschia Hair and Beauty, Halifax, to raise money for The Little Princess Trust, a charity which provides real hair wigs to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.

Ella-mae’s mum Sam said: “I’m blown away by her pure kindness and i’m so proud of her. When looking into how to donate the hair I found out it costs a staggering £350 for The Princess Trust to make just one wig and they give these away for free. It’s an amazing charity and I thought how amazing if she could donate as close to that amount as possible.”
