The blog promotes Calderdale through a photographic story of the community and celebratory local events such as Tour De Yorkshire.

It features photographs of Hardcastle Crags, Norland Scarecrow Festival, Dean Clough Mills and locals playing sport.

Bruce said: “I just wanted to share the beauty I see around.”

Bruce has lived and worked in Calderdale since leaving his native home, New Zealand, 10 years ago.

He begun his photography career in New Zealand before moving to the UK a year later.

Bruce, of Mill Bank, had a lengthy career with the Halifax Courier, before becoming freelance last year and founding Bruce Fitzgerald Photography.

His company was set up with a view to ‘capture natural images for creative thinkers’.
