Calderdale’s Calendar Girls have flashed their flesh to raise some cash for a local cause that is close to all of their hearts.
Dean Clough’s Royal Sun Alliance employees came together over company tea-breaks to collaborate on the idea to bare all in a Calendar Girls style calendar to raise funds for Elland’s Overgate Hospice.
All nine ladies, Brigetta O’Brien, Andrea Kershaw, Cathy Sedgwick, Kirsty Soffe, Josie Sharp-Tetley, Jeanette Turnbull, Greer Wadsworth and Ellen Wallace say the hospice is especially close to their hearts.
Calendar girl Greer Wadsworth said: “We all believe Overgate is a great charity to support and it is close to all of us.
“Shooting the calendar has brought us closer together as colleagues and friends - we’ve had a great time.” The 12 month calendar photo shoot was taken by Sowerby Bridge photographer Phillip Fearnley Photography.
“Phillip not only gave up his time for us but helped with our confidence and supported us throughout,” said Mrs Wadsworth.
Calendars are now on sale at Costcutter, Illingworth, and Head Candy hairdressers on Crossley Street, Halifax.
The women will be selling calendars at Keelham Farm Shop, Queensbury, on Saturday December 7 from 11am.
