Legend Gough is heading for Elland

YORKSHIRE'S ebullient skipper Darren Gough is hitting Elland next month for what promises to be an unforgettable evening.

The cricket legend, who is now also a TV superstar thanks to his 'Strictly Come Dancing' success, will be the star attraction at a special one off dinner in Elland Cricket Club's Baines Hall on Thursday, March 13.

Always an entertaining and larger than life character both on and off the field, Gough is a great supporter of cricket throughout Yorkshire and was delighted to accept an invitation from his former county colleague Richard Blakey to attend the event.

"Elland is a great club and I've got a lot of friends in that area so I'm really looking forward to the evening," said Gough.

Blakey said more than 150 tickets had already been sold for the eagerly awaited event, which will also feature comedian Steve Womack.

However, there are still some tickets available priced at 60 plus VAT per person, 600 plus VAT for a table or 895 plus VAT for a premier table.

Blakey has also put together a sponsorship package priced at 1,500 plus VAT which includes pre dinner drinks reception with Gough and a full size cricket bat in a presentation box signed by the former England ace for each of the 12 guests the package covers.
