This time next week Red Nose Day will be upon us all. There will be dance-offs, bake-offs, and lots of show-offs.
We want to know what you’re doing to raise some cash for a cracking cause. There’s lots already planned: Breaking a WORLD record, Wayne from Wayne Anthony Executive Barbers will be cutting a celebrity’s hair blindfolded! The brave celebrity is yet to be revealed....
Pop singer, Jessie J will also take a seat in the hairdresser’s chair as her hair is shaved off for Comic Relief 2013.
In the national Let’s Dance for Comic Relief, Halifax’s Baby Ballet will dance in red to raise money for children in Africa and at home, in the UK.
Lots of schools across our region will be dressing up, dressing down, holding bake-offs and cook-offs to collect cash for charity. Rastrick High School is one of many local schools taking part in the national Comic Relief Bake-off, selling cakes and all sorts of sweet treats at school, next Friday.
Next Step Trust, a centre in Halifax for adults with complex needs will be selling books, bric-a-brac and raffles.
Still stuck for ideas? Here’s a tip or two: Give up the take-away for the night and donate the money saved. Get sponsored to only eat red food for the day. Be brave and sell your facebook status for the day. Take inspiration from previous classics and sit in a bath of baked beans to collect some cash.
We will be covering all of your fundraising events so if you haven’t already, let us know what you’re doing for Comic Relief 2013.
