GREETLAND woman Lianne Brown is raising funds into a kidney disease which cost her baby nephew his life.

She has organised a Zumbathon at Halifax YMCA, 9.30 am to 11.30 am, on March 24.

Lianne is a founding member of the Arran Brown Rainbow Foundation and the inaugural Rainbow Festival will be held later that night at the Yorkshire Rider Club, Halifax.

It will include a Black Sabbath tribute band, folk and soul music.

Arran, who lived in Scotland, died in May 2011, aged 14 months from polycystic kidney disease.

“We are striving to raise awareness of the disease and fndraise for research towards helping find a cure,” said Lianne, a professional performing artist and teacher who runs Fusion Arts Base.
