‘What a difference a day makes’. That was the message as thousands turned out for the second day of Hebden Bridge Rotary Club’s vintage car weekend.
After a damp first day (Saturday), the sun certainly had its hat on as thousands of petrol heads flocked to Calder Holmes Park to see cars from yesteryear.
With over 10,000 visitors over the two days, Rotarians are hopeful of equalling last year’s total raised for charity, which was over £10,0000.
Club president Roger Moore said: “What a difference a day makes. On Saturday it rained and on Sunday we had sunshine.
“We have had thousands of people on the park, as well as vehicles, and everybody enjoyed themselves.
“It’s been a wonderful day and we hope to have raised lots of money for our local charities and good causes,”
Mr Moore thanked all the entrants, stall holders, visitors and Rotarians for giving up their time for free.
“It’s been a huge success again and we’re already looking forward to - and planning for - next year’s show,” he added.
