THE Little Tinkers Private Day Nursery made a donation of over 100 gifts for the children’s ward at the Calderdale Royal Hospital.

And, on Sunday, the nursery - based at Hipperholme and Brighouse - will be hosting an open day at its Brighouse premises at Bonegate Road/Old Lane.

All money raised at the event will go towards a new Apnea monitor in the special care baby unit of the Calderdale Royal Hospital, along with prizes for the Bravery Awards in the Children’s Ward.

Any child who undergoes a painful or unpleasant procedure receives a star on their bravery card. Once they have five stars they receive a gift.

The help from Little Tinkers Nursery has ensured there is a plentiful supply of gifts for children to choose from.
