Three Halifax firms are in line for a bumper injection of cash from the Government.
Heights Ltd, i-plas Products and Halifax Rack and Screw Cutting Co are among 23 organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber region to benefit from the second round of the Regional Growth Fund.
Total funding for the region is £143 million which is expected to create 3,000 jobs and safeguard another 13,700 jobs.
Across the UK the Government said 27,000 jobs would be created or safeguarded.
Manufacturing was the main winner as Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg announced, during a visit to Sheffield, £950m funding for 119 companies and local partnerships aimed at stimulating economies mainly in regions dependent on the public sector.
He said the coalition was seeking to rewire the British economy and cut over-reliance on decision makers in Whitehall. Three-quarters of bidders were left disappointed.
