Addict hid crack cocaine in false leg
A disabled drug addict was caught with a stash of crack cocaine hidden inside her false leg.
The drugs fell out of a joint in Tracy Day's prosthetic limb during a police raid on her Castleford home.
When the 43-year-old bit a policeman, her false teeth fell out and a package of crack cocaine she tried to swallow was found.
Crack cocaine with a street value of 1,136 was discovered inside her body.
Day, who received 1,100 pounds a month in benefits, pleaded guilty at Leeds Crown Court to possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply. She escaped jail after the court heard she was making a concerted effort to stay drug free.
She was sentenced to a community order with an 18-month supervision requirement and nine-month drug rehabilitation programme.
