All aboard the Eureka lunch train
IT'S all aboard as the lunch train opens its doors again after a £30,000 refurbishment.
The 40-year-old carriage is used as a fun learning space at the Eureka children's museum in Halifax.
Pupils from Savile Park Primary School helped cut the ribbon on the newly-decorated 1969 Mark 2c coach, which has been at the museum since 1992.
It was closed for renovation for four months as part of a joint project between Northern Rail and Eureka.
New seats and carpets have been fitted and the carriage has been painted inside and out.
Area director of Northern Rail Steve Butcher said: "We were very happy to get involved to help the museum and give the children a great place to learn about the railways in a safe, interesting and fun way."
