Calderdale pupils on TV in We Are The Champions Sport Relief special
PUPILS at a village primary school will tune into BBC1 today to watch themselves compete in Sport Relief Does We Are The Champions.
The Year 6 children from Shibden Head Primary School, Queensbury, won their heat of the competition which will be screened at tea-time.
The updated version of We Are The Champions, originally screened in the 1970s and 1980s, was hosted by comedian Paddy McGuinness.
The Shibden Head team was led by British Paralympics swimmer Heather Frederiksen and the children took part in games held in a swimming pool and sports arena at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.
