Car parks win awards
TWO more car parks in Calderdale have won awards from the British Parking Association for being safe and secure.
They are in Victoria Street, Halifax, and Mill Lane, Brighouse.
Calderdale crime prevention officer Keith Williams said: "The car parks which have been given the ParkMark seal of approval have been designed with security and safety as an integral part of the package with good lighting and surveillance."
Car parks which already have the award are Bethel Street, Parsonage Lane and Commercial Street in Brighouse; Boxhall Road, Coronation Street, Southgate and Timber Street in Elland; Tuel Lane and Stanley Street in Sowerby Bridge; St Pol Square, Station Road, Garden Square and New Road in Hebden Bridge; Bramsche Square and Dalton Street in Todmorden and St Johns Lane, North Bridge, King Street, Mulcture Hall Road, Prescott Street, Bull Green, High Street, Union Street South and Cross Hills in Halifax.
